Vice Chancellor - Consultant
Paige currently serves as the Vice Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. Prior to her appointment she served as the Chief of Institutional Policy and Compliance at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In this role, she is responsible for the oversite and management of policy and compliance issues for the entire institution, including Title IX, Campus Safety and Security, Information Technology and EEO/AA compliance. She is also an instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and teaches a graduate level course on Legal Issues in Higher Education in the Higher Educational Leadership Program in the School of Education. Prior to coming to the University of Wisconsin, Paige served as an Associate General Counsel in the Office of General Counsel at Southern Illinois University (SIU) from November 2003 until January of 2010. Prior to that, Paige served as the City Attorney for the City of Carbondale, Illinois for approximately 6 years. Paige received her undergraduate degree in Administration of Justice from SIU Carbondale and her law degree from SIU School of Law.
Paige has over 25 years of collective experience advising boards, administrators and employees at public entities and higher education institutions on multiple legal topics, such as labor and employment, student affairs, health care, transactions, public records and open meetings, affirmative action and diversity, policy development, litigation management, law enforcement and campus security and governance. Paige has also developed numerous training programs for multiple clients on issues such as Title IX, Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, Retaliation, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation, Disability Rights of Employees and Students in Higher Education, Threat Assessment and Behavior Intervention Teams, Legal Issues in Student Medical Clinics and Counseling Services in Higher Education, Litigation, HIPAA, and many more.
Paige specializes in advising institutions of higher education on legal issues in student affairs, employment, labor and safety on college campuses. She also has a wide range of experience in developing and presenting preventive law programs on multiple legal topics in higher education.
