Senior University Administrator and Chief Student Affairs Officer - Lead Consultant

Lori has over 35 years of experience in student affairs and university administration. She has worked at a variety of different institutions across the United States. Lori has worked in residence life, student organizations, student judicary and with student disability services.  Lori has a PhD in Higher Education Leadership from Colorado State University.  She is a creative leader, mediator and skilled facilitator. She currently serves as the Interim President for Mesa Community College in Mesa Arizona.  Previously Lori served as Provost and Dean of Students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.   

Berquam is an accomplished administrator and leader.  She is a collaborative problem solver and a sought-after presenter.  

Lori brings experience with implementing Federal regulations involving the Clery Act, Title IX, Americans with Disabilities Act, FERPA and HIPAA.  She developed the first Behavior Management Team and Threat Team at UW-Madison.  Lori has served as President and on the Cabinet of three Chancellors for other institutions.  She has hands-on experience in crisis management, involving Emergency Operations Centers and Executive and Policy Groups.  Organizational structures, personnel management, organizational behavior, strategic planning and assessment round out her portfolio with The Riseling Group.
